Headphone feels very sturdy and is nicely designed in black half glossy plastic. I would say that aesthetics are spot on for this price range.

You will be more than happy with the amount of control that Pulsar provide. On separate controller you'll find on/off switch for the microphone, vibration and volume controls, selector for sub powered lights flashing (on/off) and normal mode that wont any drain power. You can also switch between USB and normal mode (in combination with battery pack) when you don't have USB as an option. Battery pack consists of four AAA standard batteries. So no big science. Just pack them and go.

TekNmotion Pulsar SX is one hack of versatile headphone. It offers virtual 7.1 surround and stereo output. You can switch between them quickly. Pulsar SX also incorporate "Sonic Force Feedback." This system provide vibrational effect to headphones and will enrich your gaming.

To start using them with your PC you just plug them in one free USB slot and connect audio microphone and audio output to the computer sound card.

Than insert the software cd and follow the quick and easy installation. After installation you can play around with quite few settings. Let it be game playing, listening to the music, DVD playback are talking jive to friends, TekNmotion Pulsar SX did jobe very well. You might need to play with settings to suit sound to your needs. Overall sound is warm and full, i would say fully embodied. Bass and treble are a bit forwarded which is normal for this kind of gaming headphone. Dynamic are sharp and attack transients are on spot. This is no HD-650 or AKG K 701, but for given purpose and price they are more than good performer. The loudness and bass is really great and "in your face." This is what a hard core gamer would demand from such a headphone i guess. All thumbs up for the noise cancellation. Pulsar SX is spot on in this regard!

I tried Pulsar with my audio components; from mp3 players to cd player. It's very solid products but like i already said it's more oriented to gamers than audiophiles. You could enjoy your records easily with Pulsar SX. With the attached battery pack i wouldn't really recommend them as a portable headphones, but its optional.
