Zesto Audio is proud to announce the launch of their newest product, the EROS 300 Monoblock amplifiers. The premiere will take place at the Rocky Mountain Audio Fest in Denver, Colorado USA, October 2-4, 2015 in Exhibit Room #1117.
In development for more than 3 years and over 79 circuit revisions later, the Eros 300 is ready for Prime Time. “This is an amp with authority”, exclaims George Counnas, President of Zesto Audio. George acknowledges there is an inherent conflict in good amplifier design because you want as much power as possible and yet you need it to finesse the most delicate passages of your music. The real design challenge is not finding a balance or compromise, but for it to be both powerful and musical”.
George continues, “I always look at design from two points of view, as an audio engineer and an electrical perspective. In each design phase there is a 50/50 balance between the technical spec and listening.”
George says, “What I really like about Class A power, besides being so fast and responsive, is the fact that it has the lowest distortion so it turns out to be the most musical”.
The Eros 300 has plenty of power to drive your speakers with a matched sextet (6) set of KT88′s and two 12AU7′s producing 150 Watts per block of pure Class A power. The circuit design and power supply are quite different from Zesto’s Bia 120 Stereo power amp. Counnas uses a Push-Pull and Ultra-Linear circuit topology and a more robust choke based power supply incorporating a custom Toroid power transformer.
The Eros 300 has Auto-Bias, so it is easy to use with no adjustments or tweaking.
