HONG KONG HIGH END AUDIO SHOW 2017 REPORT/INSIGHTS

Hong Kong High End Audio show report, with quite few interesting insights, new products and the established "players". Enjoy...

The Line Magnetic room at the show. It was difficult to get into room as there were so many people trying listen to the system. On the photo Alnico version of the LM3.

SME is more and more present at the high end audio shows. They've shown a very, very small model of their turntable; like 7 cm wide...

The Anna Log!

Canary Audio M500 with 300B, 54G and 6SN7 tubes.

Beautifully weenered Artos Audio loudspeakers partnered with the enormous Audio Valve tube mono block power amplifiers.

Viborg sounds Danish, but it is from Russia? Made in China/Taiwan from of copper. This might become popular; depending on price of course.

Viking Audio? They used to be called Coin Audio (3 years ago?) The original designer is still behind the product design and they are all sound very good! Danish design!

Diamonds are forever. In some parts of the word, that is undoubtful!

Hifiman! Richard (sales manager) shows the new and upcoming Shangri-La Jr electrostatic version of their headphones. It will retail around 8000 EUR, including new amplifier. Other photos also shows the "older" and bigger 50 000 EUR model. Sieveking sound has ordered it and it will be possible to listen to it in Germany soon.

Acoustic Revive was showing their full lineup. The new LAN/ network products are really good with streaming.

Dan D'Agostino with the recognisable giant "watch" dials ornaments...

Always impressive  Boulder amp! New 1000 series stylish outlook...

Moon Audio 888 flagship power amplifiers mated with the omnipresent Vivid Audio speakers.

Transrotor Metropolis Reference Turntable

There is no high end audio show without the Audio Note UK...

There were a lot of booths with records and DVDs for sale. And bagpipes!

Italians do it better!? The iconic Unison Research from Italy.

Phasemation MA-2000 tube amplifiers from Japan. Mostly we connect the brand with the cartridges, so these seems to be new products...

A new version of the Jelco tonearms, not seen before! Inspiring quality at very competitive prices and still made in Japan.

Modwright tube gear galore...

Avalon Acoustics products showcase with the "dark emperor" Tesseract, that seemed to descent from the very different universe...

Instantly recognisable Jeff Roland and mighty Audia Flight flagship solid state power amplifiers. The Entreq was once again spotted in the system!

YG Acoustics flagship speakers with Soulution electronics...

Pathos Acoustic has reveal their flagship integrated.

Luxman!

World premier of Acoustic Harmony GM-1 Sophia speakers...

Sumiko Celebration and a little big giant record player :)...

Another British loudspeaker brand, the Graham in partnership Audion, that were designed in the past by (now retired) Swedish designer Erik Andersson. Large photo shows VOTU - Voice of the Universe.

Tannoy is now Chinese ownership and the old designer has started a new brand called Fyne with a lot of the old employees joining in from what I've been told. More to come...
