Bel Canto Black ASC1 and MPS1

Back to black

Black’s controller unit is like nothing else available today. It contains Proprietary Asynchronous Interfaces along with Bel Canto XStream Master Clocks that are within centimeters of critical output and ADC stages. This reduces cable noise and interference creating true music signal purity.

Black’s proprietary Low-Noise, Wide-Bandwidth XStreamLink ST fiber cable links the ASC1 to Black’s PowerStream Mono Blocks. This means perfect signal distribution: complete Galvanic Isolation, Zero Interference from ambient noise and zero noise radiation.

This proprietary interface also means Black’s controller can be located anywhere you like: from a few inches to meters away from the Mono Blocks with no loss in signal purity.

When the signal arrives at the PowerStream Mono Blocks a final Asynchronous XStream Master Clock re-times the digital signal before converting it to analog. This ensures a pure, organic sound performance.

The final analog signal is handled by several proprietary discrete Bel Canto balanced amplifier stages for current conversion and voltage amplification. Each PowerStream Mono Block holds a Bel Canto nCore Discrete Power Processor stage that can supply 1200Watts and 40 Ampere peaks to the loudspeaker with 128 dB of dynamic range.

AC Power is pre-conditioned by a two-stage power supply providing complete clean DC power before reaching the final custom low noise supply circuits, thus completing the Shortest Analog Path to the Loudspeaker while Maintaining True High Dynamic Range.
