Transparent Acoustic Cloud ceiling absorbers

A Cloud

Dmitry of Transparent Acoustic Cloud ceiling absorber system just arrived half hour ago. Very elegant and easy to mount system. I'll be mounting it over this weekend and report more with first listening impressions and a full review in due time.

"The largest surface in the room is usually the ceiling. Even in an empty room ceiling absorbers can significantly reduce reverberation times. The cloud ceiling panels, however, only weighs 1kg and are elegantly hung suspended on thin steel cables. Lightweight aluminum tubes covered with foil or absorbent fabric are developed in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics. The absorption coefficient is between 0.6 and 0.7 in the range of 400 Hz to 4 kHz. Dimensions 1000 x 1000 x 30 mm, guidon rope length 10 cm, weight: 1 kg."
