Randolph Hedgebeth Record Clamp

Record clamp

Randolph Hedgebeth Record Clamp. It's very inexpensive and made from UHMW and Red Rubber (option added after machining). Since the Specific Gravity is 0.93 it is light weight and neither the UHMW nor the Red Rubber will abrade the record label as you screw it on.

The Platter has a slight slope from the rim down to the Label recess of 4mm which is the 'worst' cupped record in my collection. This is a simple and cheap way to clamp a record, tighter than any vacuum pump and no noise. It gets the edge too.
