A desert island disc
MONO AND STEREO HIGH-END AUDIO MAGAZINE
This is one of my favourite recordings of all time and one of the ten desert island disc to take with.
This 1994 Grammy winner for Best World Music Album was recorded by Kavi Alexander of legendary Water Lily Acoustics in a chapel straight to 1-inch analog tape on a Tim de Paravicini custom-built, all-triode tube recording chain and expertly mastered by Kevin Gray from the original analog master tapes. Check the historical pictures after the jump. I'll be soon interview Kavi about his life's work and this record so stay tuned for more...
And yes, I'm talking about double vinyl 45 RPM version from AcousTech.
