Lamm M1.2 Reference hybrid power amplifiers just arrived for test and review directly from Lamm Industries headquarters. What makes them so special and interesting?
The original M1.1 were in production for more than ten year with M1.2 marking the 10th anniversary. M1.2 Reference, hybrid design uses specially selected 6922 vacuum triode in the second stage. M1.1 operates in pure class A amplifier featuring high-speed MOS-FET transistors in the output stage with no overall feedback and special switch-selectable bias/voltage settings for 8- or 4-Ohm operation.
