Robert Koch just sent in the offical info about his latest creation... Introducing Robert Koda’s ground breaking 匠心 K-160... Eleven years ago Robert Koda introduced Takumi K-70 to great critical acclaim. To this day it remains for some - The finest sounding amplifier regardless of price. Until now. Today we are proud to announce the official launch of 匠心 Takumi K-160 mono power amplifier.

When we set out to improve upon K-70, no-one expected this would become a decade long quest.  Throughout the process we began to fully understand fundamental limitations inherent to both tube and transistor devices.  The breakthrough in performance we sought could only be achieved by creating new and novel solution designed ingeniously to side step those limitations.  In fact, it took a combination of multiple, brand new inventions discovered and honed over a decade of intensive research, to reach this goal.

The result, Takumi K-160 embodies a remarkable all-new gain stage combined with the next generation Robert Koda pure Class A, double single ended high power architecture. It promises a sound of effortless beauty far beyond the historic limits of both “tubes”and “transistors”.

匠心 Takumi K-160, our finest and most complete work. A new standard bearer for Robert Koda’s vision of “Amplifier’s Ultimate Form”.
