Maurice Marechal - Jeanne-Marie Darré


Very rare duo Maurice Marechal - Jeanne-Marie Darré plays the two Brahms Sonatas in pristine recording. He was known for his interpretations of works such as the Sonata for Violin and Cello by Maurice Ravel, in which he was the cellist at the 1922 premiere of the sonata together with violinist Hélène Jourdan-Morhange. She was known for her lyrical and elegant interpretations of solo works by French piano composers. Produced early in France on Pathé 33 DTX 127 Deep Green & Silver original mono label, heavy and flat pressed, Matrix XPTX 173, pressed in 1952.
