SILVERCORE WE205D NEOHYBRID AMPLIFIER

Silvercore's Christof Kraus now completed first builds of the new NEOhybrid amplifiers for G Point Audio demo room. Few more will be coming soon, but Greg decided to start with the legendary WE205D triode used in a NEOhybrid configuration. In the SET circuit this beauty would only offer you 1.1 Watt of Audio Climax, so the proper horns are needed or bi/tri amping as an alternative, and that also into rather efficient , most likely full range drivers. Silvercore's NEOhybrid 205D mono amplifiers are delivering a whooping 18 Watts per channel, the power which never being heard from this legendary tube before. Greg Drygala is going to play it with Silvercore Wahnfried special edition preamp using nano-crystaline transformers and smoothing chokes as well as matching Silvercore Reference AL4 Phono, also fully equipped with nano-crystaline inductors and so far only made to the order for most demanding historical triode aficionados. The Silvercore AL4 Phono is going to stay on top of the Historical Triode Range as a regular part of the portfolio.

G Point Audio is looking forward to connecting SC 205D monos to their AudioNEC EVO2SE loudspeakers, which meanwhile, during the lock down are going through all day listening extensive setting process and they continue shocking us with their playback abilities:) Those few who had a chance to hear them with Silvercore 304TL mono amplifiers know very well what we are talking about here . More to come...
