Just start with one connection via a spare unused RCA connector or to chassis to a DAC, CD player, Media player, preamp, integrated amplifier etc and experiment to find your most prevalent sound experience via the supplied terminated RCA to spade/banana cable. 

Then introduce the second Extreme cable for further gains, you can connect up to three cables per silver binding post if required.
