Innuos innuOS 2.3.

Innuos has released a new version of their music server/streamer operating system, innuOS 2.3. The new version of the OS for the award-winning line of Innuos digital music sources adds many new features to improve usage with Qobuz and TIDAL - it also enables a free MQA Core Decoder on Innuos music server/streamers and network music players. InnuOS Version 2.3 includes the following improvements...

Innuos music server/streamer owners can now download purchased music from Qobuz directly to their server from within the Sense app, providing a more streamlined integration with Qobuz without ever leaving the Sense app.

There is now an option to opt out of synchronizing Qobuz and Tidal with a music library, in addition to the option to do the same for purchased songs if desired. This is helpful for anyone using HiFi streaming services with Innuos sources and allows further control should users wish to keep their TIDAL/Qobuz favorites separate.

With this update, Innuos music servers and network music players are now MQA certified - this means they can now stream and play MQA files up to 24bit/96 kHz for non-MQA DACs and up to 24bit/384 kHz for MQA Renderer/Decoder DACs. This feature adds to the existing capability of Innuos music servers and network mu- sic players to passthrough MQA files to MQA Full Decoder DACs.

In addition, several other improvements have been made that include a new Save Settings per DAC feature that saves time over having to change settings every time a different DAC is selected. A complete list of improvements is available in the Changelog area of the Innuos Feedback Zone at https://feedback.innuos.com

Version 2.3 of the innuOS Operating System can be downloaded using the Innuos Sense app, which is available from the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and Amazon Appstore. The Innuos Sense app is used to browse, play and manage all your music, whether stored locally or streaming.

Innuos is also kicking off the international 2023 trade show season by showcasing innuOS 2.3 at two upcoming HiFi industry events:

Innuos will have two locations at the Bristol HiFi Show, 24 - 26 February 2023 at the Marriott City Centre Hotel, Lower Castle Street in Bristol UK: A stand in the Bristol Suite where people will be able to meet Innuos staff and get hands-on with the latest Sense app, and the Matthew Suite where live A/B demonstrations of the PULSEmini and PULSE network music players can be heard. The Matthew Suite will have an Innuos PhoenixNET audiophile-grade network switch inline before the PULSEmini and PULSE. Output will be reclocked using an Innuos PhoenixUSB then on to a Chord Electronics Hugo TT2 DAC which will deliver the sound to a pair of ATC SCM40A active speakers for a memorable listening experience. The mains block will be a Puritan PSM156. Chord Company Signature cables will provide connections - all hosted inside Lateral Cadenz audio racks.

Innuos exhibited in Room 235 at Norddeutsche HiFi Tage, 18 - 19 February 2023. The system included Innuos PULSEmini and PULSE network music players for A/B comparisons. Both sources will receive a perfectly-timed signal from an Innuos PhoenixNET audiophile-grade network switch. An Innuos PhoenixUSB reclocker will ensure proper timing for a pair of Piega Coax 611 floor-standing speakers will faithfully render the music. A T+A DAC 200 DAC/Preamp feeding a pair of T+A M200 mono power amplifiers will deliver the signal to the speakers. The mains block consists of two AC-4500 power stations from In-Akustik, along with their cables throughout the rig. A Creaktiv MIDI REFERENCE rack will host all the components.

Visitors at both shows are encouraged to stop by the Innuos rooms with questions, try the Innuos Sense app or hear these remarkable HiFi systems featuring the new PULSE series running innuOS 2.3 and the difference PhoenixNET and PhoenixUSB can make.
