“This piece was built 42 years ago, in the summer of 1981, and had been working until recently. Our service tech Karl installed a bunch of new capacitors, one new transistor, a new tube set, and also replaced the feet. The original capacitors are no longer available, and many parts require custom adapters that we design and make in house so we can use modern versions of those parts.
We pride ourselves on being able to restore most Audio Research products introduced since our founding in 1970, maintaining their value and allowing them to providing lasting musical satisfaction. Happy listening!”
