Dynaudio Contour Legacy – A Marriage Made In Skanderborg

Every left and right Contour Legacy loudspeaker is paired from the moment its components are carefully placed on Dynaudio workbench in Jutland.

Each panel of each cabinet is made from a composite board made from the same source. These panels are then selected, two by two, so that their grain looks similar. It can only be done by eye, and is a process that would be unfathomable to have replicated by a machine.

That’s exactly when we say handmade, we mean handmade. Human hands. It might be time consuming, but it’s worth every minute. Want to touch (and smell) these beauties in real life? Then you’ll need to act fast – Contour Legacy is limited to just 1000 pairs worldwide – and they’re almost all gone.

A machine wouldn’t be concerned about the precision of the joints, or the effect the weather will have on the integrity of the jointed angles. It wouldn’t reject a pair of speakers because one of them had a blemish almost invisible to the naked eye. And it wouldn’t sense the feeling we would get as we run our fingers over a tiny groove in the front facing panel. It wouldn’t take pleasure in the smell of hardwood.
