I’ve been often asked about various things related to Western Electric drivers, so this might be useful to many of you… Lamar Audio Engineering is offering a repair service for all WE555 drivers as well as for all LM 555 and GIP 555. “We can replace a broken voice coil if the actual diaphragm is not damaged. We also check the driver assembly for possible degradation due to bad terminal connection or rusty pole plates.”
