Rob Meijst, the Dutch designer of the Noble & Noble Nobilis Sonum 126 active speakers, has not only paid attention to the enclosure, electronics and software but, in particular, to the interrelationship of the various parts so as to get a balanced result. One of the technologies used is the patented Vibrations Cancellation System, the system that cancels unwanted resonances completely. As a result, no emphasis is placed on certain tones and the sound retains its original naturalness.

• The Nobilis Sonum 126 active speakers are in fact a complete and fully integrated state-of-the-art speaker system because all necessary elements, including amplifiers, a Digital-Signal-Processor unit and a Digital-to-Analog Converter, are neatly built into the speaker cabinet.
• Custom Installers now have the ability, thanks to the built-in DSP unit, to tailor the speakers to the unique acoustics of the listening room.
The Nobilis Sonum 126 active speakers use advanced technologies:
1. The world’s first resonance-free cabinet thanks to
2. The patented Vibrations Cancellation System.
3. The elimination of most of the cone edge distortion thanks to the Inert Ring elegantly incorporated into the 7th side.
4. The decoupled tweeter or 7th side, again.
5. A properly designed waveguide.
Approved by and for interior designers.
– The speaker has a brand new and iconic enclosure that shows a new design signature and offers excellent acoustic fidelity, dynamics as well as a palette of sound colors for both home-cinemas and listening rooms.
– The timeless design is courtesy of Mr. Roderick Vos, of the eponymous Studio Roderick Vos, interior designer par excellence.
Improved acoustic fidelity.
– With the transition from passive to active speakers another advantage has come to the surface, that is the improvement of the acoustic fidelity. Instead of having an external amplifier to drive the different speaker units, each speaker unit now has its own dedicated amplifier, guaranteeing a perfectly optimized combination.
The Digital-Signal-Processor unit.
– Thanks to the built-in Digital-Signal-Processor unit, the digital signal remains digital until the very last moment where it is converted into an analogue signal to drive the speaker units thus guaranteeingthe greatest possible acoustic fidelity.
Pleasant side note: More cost-effective than the passive equivalent.
– Noble & Noble’s Nobilis Sonum 126 active speakers are even more cost-effective than the passive equivalent, if only because the number of components, such as a combination of an external amplifier and cables to go with a pair of passive speakers, is reduced to zero.
