Vitavox TriTone is a 3-way freestanding horn/reflex hybrid loudspeaker system with integrated time domain control.
As its name suggests, it is the direct descendant of the classic 2-way Vitavox Bitone Major (you see what we did there…?), a system originally developed for installation in commercial venues, and famed for its explosive dynamics and exciting presentation. Perhaps more than any other, this is a system that was truly born to rock.
A further octave of low frequency extension can be enjoyed via the Tremor ABS corner bass system.
Revisions to the original Bitone Major cabinet specification include an upgrade to 30mm beech plywood for carcase construction and the inclusion of the extraordinary Vitavox K Series 15″ alnico bass unit.
These modifications significantly improve performance, but it is the incorporation of the T3 module into this classic design that brings the most remarkable enhancements:
- Improved dynamics and bass resolution. The repositioning of the dispersive horn from the inside to the outside of the cabinet results in greater effective cabinet volume and the optimisation of the reflex port geometry.
- Improved mid-range resolution. The use of R300W dispersive horn with its high mass and exceptional self-damping characteristics eliminates resonance.
- An extra octave of bandwidth. The integration of the Vitavox TR32A compression tweeter means true full-range performance.
- Time domain control. Razor sharp sonic focus via the indexable positioning of the HF unit.
These elements combine for a truly visceral experience that needs to be heard to be believed. A system seemingly capable of delivering the immediacy and impact of live performance directly into the bloodstream!
