After an estimated 100 million hours of music had been broadcast worldwide through the legendary EMT TSD 15 cartridges, the radio industry gradually moved towards digital technology in the 1990s.
EMT was affected by this global transition and, under the leadership of Jules Limon, began addressing new clientele by introducing the JSD line in 2006. The dynamic musicality and technical precision of these high-quality cartridges soon delighted thousands of vinyl enthusiasts around the world.
EMT JSD Twenty
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the JSD line, EMT-Tontechnik will introduce an exclusive, limited-edition model in autumn 2026.
The unique combination of cutting-edge technologies across all disciplines creates an exceptional achievement in analogue playback technology. The legendary Gyger-S diamond is mounted on a ruby rod and connected to the multi-layer coil former via a precision titanium component.
The 24-karat gold coil delivers a clear and warm sound, complemented by a body featuring several gold-plated bronze inlays. The supporting structure is coated in a process that takes several days, resulting in an exclusive Royal Ruby effect.
Each cartridge is individually numbered, and production is limited to 100 units worldwide.
