Ferras recorded his first LP In May, 1954, featuring Brahms Concerto with Karl Schuricht and the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. This year, thanks to the French luthier Etienne Vatelot, Ferras acquired the 1721 “Le Président” Stradivarius, with which he made this reconding of French Sonatas in 1960.
