DS Audio has released firmware Ver. 2.1.1 for its Eccentricity Detection Stabilizer ES-001 / ES-002.
What’s new in Ver. 2.1.1:
- German and Simplified Chinese have been added as display languages (four in total, alongside Japanese and English).
- Battery life has been extended by about 20%, and we have fixed an issue that could prevent units from starting when the battery is low.
- Eccentricity below 10 µm is now shown as “<10,” since values in that range are close to the measurement limit.
- The screen design has been updated, with smoother transitions.
The update is free and takes only a few minutes. Owners can perform it themselves from a web browser (Chrome or Edge) on their computer, with no app to install. The browser-based updater is new for us, and we think it is a meaningful step forward for a measurement device in this category.
