For two days, I had the privilege and pleasure of experiencing firsthand TIDAL For Bugatti, currently the only pair in Europe on display in Alesca Audio’s fantastic, luxurious high-end audio showroom in Zurich, Switzerland.
From my first steps into the Alesca Atelier, meeting Calo, and playing my selection of the music, it was clear that TIDAL For Bugatti could not have found a better partner or a more fitting environment for the Royale. Alessandro Calo’s pursuit of excellence perfectly mirrors the TIDAL Audio CEO’s path to excellence.
At Alesca Atelier, everything starts with the electricity, the hidden acoustic treatments, the superb lighting, the overall ambiance, etc. Everything is designed to the highest standard, and as with TIDAL For Bugatti Royale, the photos don’t do the Alesca showroom justice. Royale and Alesca must be experienced to be fully understood.
Alessandro Calo takes a different approach than the usual high-end audio retailer. Calo knows the luxury business very well, but he is also an audio aficionado, a music lover, yet a hardcore audiophile who doesn’t want to cut corners anywhere or make his customers feel like they are doing something different. I experienced his dedication firsthand, from the moment I landed at Zurich airport until the last minute before my flight home.
Calo has a very different approach to dealing with high-end customers and something that is expected but not exactly the norm for luxury pricing in the high-end audio market. He understands this completely, and while this may not be for everyone, he shows how it should be done by considering everything. By appreciating the time, interest, and willingness of his customers to take an interest in cutting-edge high-end audio products and experiences, he has already opened the right doors.

The Alesca Atelier offers different levels of service: A standard listening session, where several clients can be served at the same time, or a private listening session for two, where a special Alesca copper or gold card ensures that clients who appreciate a private atmosphere and want to enjoy a full, uninterrupted service are treated to an informal enjoyment of a carefully selected glass of the finest prosecco, champagne, and wine to accompany the music. The day of the event can also end with a perfectly staged and guided haute cuisine escapade, where a different kind of symphony awaits you.
