ALMASUONA MAESTOSO PRESTIGE FIELD COIL HORN SPEAKERS

Far beyond a conventional pair of high-end loudspeakers, the AlmaSuona MAESTOSO Horn Speaker – Prestige Version, designed by Amedeo Schembri and priced at almost 2 million EUR, is a complete audio ecosystem. It combines 11 drivers per channel, field-coil technology, handcrafted horn architecture, and dedicated amplification for each frequency band.

Instead of standard permanent magnets, it employs field coils energized by dedicated, custom-engineered external power supplies to precisely control the magnetic field characteristics.

All drivers – from the 15-inch bass/upper-bass units and 12-inch mid-bass units to the 1.5-inch midrange and 1-inch high-frequency compression drivers – use field-coil technology with dedicated power supplies.

The very-low-frequency section of the MAESTOSO Prestige is built on a scale comparable to an independent subwoofer system. Each channel uses four cabinets containing 15-inch drivers and two cabinets dedicated to long-excursion 18-inch drivers, for a total of six low-frequency cabinets.

From the bass range through the super-high frequencies, the system uses single-ended Class A triode tube amplifier blocks with no negative feedback. At the heart of each Main Unit are the legendary 211 and 845 tubes, delivering 20 W per channel – more than sufficient for speakers with sensitivity as high as 111 dB.

The very-low-frequency section requires substantially more current, so AlmaSuona employs a hybrid circuit. The input stage uses vacuum tubes, while the power stage employs a 350 W Short Path Class D design. AlmaSuona uses Class D only to deliver the peak current required by the bass diaphragms while retaining the characteristic sonic qualities of vacuum tubes in the voltage stage.

Thiên Hà Audio will present the AlmaSuona MAESTOSO Horn Speaker – Prestige Version for the first time in Vietnam at AV Show Saigon 2026.
