Andre Charlin (1903-1983) was a great French sound engineer. He made recordings for Ducretet Thomson the record companies Lumen, and Erato, in addition to his own. In 1962 he founded his “Center des enregistrements des Champs Elysees” and his record label. With his accomplice and artistic director Carl de Nys – certainly the best match imaginable, they literally went on the exhumation of undiscovered musical treasures throughout Europe. – Saulo Zucchello
