APL Hi-Fi writes: “Introducing yet another very exciting product, the RSE-GR. It is made specifically for the most discerning audiophiles who prefer using Roon. The RSE-GR has two quad core Intel computers inside. One serves as Roon Core, and the other one as Roon Bridge / Endpoint / Streamer. Both computers run Roon’s own ROCK operating system, which is optimized for audio only, so there are no additional unwanted processes running at the same time when music is played.

Some of the RSE-GR features are two completely separated linear power supplies, featuring oversized R-Core transformers wound with OFC wire, large 140,000uF capacitor banks and very low noise linear voltage regulators. Very special pSLC NVME SSD made by Swissbit on the Server part and NVME Samsung SSD on the Bridge part.

External storage may be connected to the USB or eSATA ports on the server side. NAS can also be used for audio files storage. The streamer side offers USB, AES/EBU and Coax for connecting DACs, as well as our proprietary balanced I2S DTR connector.
The RSE-GR represents many years of development when it comes to optimizing streaming audio sound quality. It is our greatest achievement to date.”
