APL HIFI Pure DSD Galactic Reference is Digital to Analog converter with balanced, transformer-coupled tube output stage. Inspired by reference vinyl sound quality, the DSD-GR delivers a unique sonic character. From DSD512 processing to differential Class-A tube output, the DSD-GR exemplifies technological refinement.

Digital Processing

  • Proprietary asynchronous USB input module accepting PCM up to 384kHz/32 bit, and up to DSD512 in NativeDSD format.
  • Both 44.1kHz and 48kHz – based DSD data is accepted.
  • Proprietary 64 bit PCM to DSD converter module with DSD256 and DSD512 capabilities, user selectable from the remote control.
  • Proprietary 64 bit Normal and Slow linear phase filters, user selectable for PCM processing.
  • Zero filter mode available for Non Oversampling (NOS) mode.
  • Pure DSD Digital to Analog conversion without any additional Digital processing.
  • Proprietary Pure DSD Digital to Analog conversion module using non-magnetic resistors of the highest possible quality.
  • Two Sound modes for the DSD modulator.

Analog Output Stage

  • Oxygen Free Copper internal wiring featuring Esprit Audio, France cables for the critical signal paths.

Power Supply

  • Oversized Custom R-Core balanced main power transformer with OFC windings.
  • Delayed High-Voltage supply, after tubes warm-up, for increased tubes life.
  • High quality Lundahl choke for the tube power supply.
  • High grade, specially selected rectifiers and passive components.

Convenience and mechanical

  • Large FLD display made by Noritake in Japan.
  • Custom selectable color filters for the display. Red, Blue or Green.
  • Microprocessor control with last settings memory.
  • Aluminum Infrared Remote Control.
