Audio Engineers Transcend Aero Power Cords

The Audio Engineers Transcend Aero series is built around exceptional quality and sophisticated technological solutions.

The new Transcend Aero Source and Performance power cords feature solid metal alloy connectors, a special Quantum absorption system that filters electromagnetic radiation, and a sophisticated, hand-made cable structure and laser-engraved inscriptions. The special materials used, technical solutions, and the sound achieved with Transcend Aero series cables provide an outstanding price/performance ratio.

Transcend Quantum-filter absorption Technology

Both connectors of every Transcend Aero Source and Performance power cord contain a special Quantum filter absorption unit that effectively suppresses the negative effects of electromagnetic fields around the wires.

The absorption unit is made of a mixture of various minerals, metals, metallic materials and polymers and extremely effectively attenuates and absorbs electromagnetic radiation generated around the conductors and coming from the environment.

Structure

The Transcend Aero Source and Performance power cords have full separate balanced tri-core and hexa-core structure conductors, 14 AWG and 8 AWG total conductive cross-section, Air-vortex inner conductors structure, and reduced resistance. The appearance of the Transcend Aero Source and Performance power cords has the 6D and 8D hexa-vortex structure, which ensures symmetrical transverse positioning, thereby significantly reducing the inductive and capacitive effects of the parallel construction of the conductors, which can negatively affect the alternating current phase accuracy. The 6D and 8D hexa structure features a uniquely designed vortex structure that gives the Transcend Aero Source and Performance power cord exceptionally low noise levels.

The 6D and 8D hexa-vortex structures of the balanced tri-core and hexa-core conductors ensure that the magnetic fields generated around the conductors extinguish each other. Each multi-core wire is placed in a special air-insulated polymerized siloxane insulation tube, which has a lower dielectric constant than traditional insulation and also optimally dampens environmental vibrations.

The Nano Holographic Helix outer layer not only provides a special and unique appearance to the Transcend Aero Source and Performance power cords, but also the special metallised polymer film with 500-nanometer-thick precious metal-alloy layers that prevent radio frequencies and electromagnetic interference from entering the cable’s inner structure. Similar metallised polymer films are used in NASA spacesuits to reflect radiation and it has been applied as an antistatic layer for insulating materials in aircraft.

The fields generated by the current flowing in the pure copper conductors are effectively damped by the air-insulated vortex structure, while the Nano Holographic Helix layer is responsible for protection against external electromagnetic and radio frequency noise. The structural design and the special outer layer together reduce external electromagnetic and radio frequency noise and the negative interaction between the current flowing in the conductor and the insulation.

Connectors

The Transcend Aero Performance power cords received high-quality, hand-selected, solid aluminum alloy connectors with pure copper contacts inside.

The rhodium-silver coating on the outside of the contacts provides a proper connection that has measurably better electrical parameters than, for example, gold-plating, and is more resistant to environmental impacts.

Made of a solid block, the aluminum-alloy connector housings effectively dampen EMI / RFI effects and isolate the built-in Quantum filter units from the environment, so they only affect the internal conductors.

Made by hand

Each Transcend Aero Source and Performance power cord is assembled entirely by hand, from the design of the vortex structure to the solder-free installation of the plugs. Each Transcend Aero Source and Performance power cord is made with high precision and attention to detail, so it takes approximately 12 hours to complete a 5-foot-long Transcend Aero power cord, including the final tests.

The new Transcend Aero series power cords are available from Audio Engineers distributors this November.
