Audio Note (UK) Izvor DAC technology features a fast I2S real-time compensation system, measured with equipment with reliable 1-ppm accuracy to match the resistors. Corrected values are stored individually on each DAC board, each being effectively unique. Annealed NiCr resistors are used, for their low TCR and good long-term stability. Long-term drift is relatively slow with NiCr, but the system allows recalibration if needed. Layout is thermally symmetrical to reduce gradients. 12 years in development and a complete sonic revelation.
