AUDIOLAI STOOM — INTERSECTION BETWEEN SOUND, ARCHITECTURE AND RAW MATERIALITY

STOOM is a series of industrial loudspeakers designed by AudioLai, an independent Italian studio exploring the intersection between sound, architecture and raw materiality.

The project was born from a fascination with industrial structu res and brutalist forms. Instead of hiding the technical components, STOOM embraces them: the horn, the cabinet and the acoustic structure become visible elements of the design language.

The result is a loudspeaker that feels closer to an architectural object than to a traditional hi-fi product. Raw surfaces, structural proportions and exposed acoustic geometry define its identity.

Despite its sculptural presence, STOOM remains a true high-fidelity system designed for serious music listening. Horn loading, controlled directivity and active DS amplification allow the loudspeakers to reproduce music with precision, dynamics and spatial clarity.

Each unit is handcrafted in Italy and developed as both an acoustic instrument and a design object. STOOM is currently in preview phase and has not been officially released yet.
