All new Ballfinger PS2 direct drive turntable combines unique radial/tangential tonearm and brand’s own MC cartridge. Ballfinger PS 2 is the first record player with tonearm processor-controlled linear guiding system.
This new concept allows a completely straight tonearm path without skating force and tracking angle.
Two microprocessors operates independently from each other. First chip continuously compare platter speed with the desired specification and regulates the power at the power stage of the motor commutation exactly and quartz-precisely.
Second processor controls the position of the tone arm base and is doesn’t require any lateral force, but draws it from the tonearm geometry; as a controlled variable through the latest non-contact sensor technology. The tracking of the tonearm is highly sensitive and happening in real-time.
