Bowers & Wilkins – John Bowers had a vision: a loudspeaker that didn’t sound like a loudspeaker at all. He wanted listeners to feel as if they were experiencing the live event itself, or the best possible recording of it. After years of relentless innovation, Nautilus was born.

Every Nautilus loudspeaker is a masterpiece, crafted with precision in our Dale Road facility in Worthing, UK. The cabinet alone is a labour of love, formed from three sections that must be seamlessly joined and meticulously sanded to eliminate any visible edges. Then comes the finishing process: up to 12 layers of hand-sprayed paint and lacquer, tailored to the client’s chosen finish.

But the final step may be the most painstaking of all: three full days of meticulous machine polishing to perfect the signature curves and create the stunning, mirror-like finish that defines Nautilus. Because when you’re making an icon, no detail is too small.
