CARLO VAN NESTE!

The obscure Belgian violinist Carlo Van Neste (1914-1992) was one of the great violinists of international repute. At the age of three, he gave a first “small” concert in the Netherlands. At the age of 12, he gave his first major concert in London with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, which marked the beginning of his international career. Carlo Van Neste was also a great teacher. Among other things, he formed two Belgian artists who won the Queen Elisabeth-de-Belgium International Music Competition: Edith Volckaert and Véronique Bogaerts.

He was also a frequent contributor to the jury of this prestigious competition and many other international competitions in Moscow, Tokyo, Montreal, Geneva, Paris, London, Italy, and the Netherlands. – Saulo Zucchello
