Cube Audio returns to the Mono & Stereo Cube Audio Jazzon V2 speakers. I’ve already tested their Nenuphar speakers and the related Qualio IQ, with very positive impressions and conclusions.
Jazzon V2
The Jazzon V2 is the latest addition and the smallest floorstander in Cube Audio’s portfolio, priced at half the cost of the NENUPHAR V2, and features the F10 Select full-range driver.
As you can read throughout the review, the Jazzon V2 perfectly aligns with Cube Audio’s renowned sonic DNA and doesn’t compromise performance, offering excellent value at a much more affordable price.
The magic of Cube Audio speakers lies in their single, full-bandwidth driver, meticulously designed to provide seamless frequency extension. Refined over years of continuous development, this driver incorporates the most cutting-edge and advanced technology.
The Cube F10 Select driver delivers remarkable tonal balance, with no crossover in the signal path to compromise the sound. The full-range driver is directly connected to the amplifier, allowing you to experience all the subtle distinctions of the music.
Several years after its initial release, a V2 version of the driver was developed. Thanks to a stronger magnetic field, this enhanced version features even greater differentiation of musical material and introduces the convenience of adjusting tonal balance using a simple passive filter, incorporated with high-quality components.
The changes in the new speaker go beyond its magnetic system design. The diaphragm’s geometry has been drastically altered, and a novel top suspension has been developed to accommodate it.
The speakers are equipped with a 4-position switch to adjust the full-range driver. Position 0 provides unadjusted listening, while positions 1, 2, and 3 adjust the bandwidth by 1.5 dB each. This feature simplifies system configuration and adapts to both room acoustics and user preferences.

The Music
When it comes to music, Cube Audio Jazzon V2 full-range speakers simply continue the successful legacy of the Nenuphar, which I evaluated earlier.
As always, here are a few reference tracks and albums that highlight Jazzon’s standout qualities and positive attributes.
Juan Atkins & Moritz von Oswald Present Borderland: Transport (Remixed) Juan Atkins / Moritz Von Oswald / Borderland
There is a seamless continuity that Cube Audio speakers are known for, and this was immediately recognizable with the Jazzon V2, where the Borderland, in its sonic gestalt and essence, presents a far bigger challenge than one might expect at initial listening.
When it comes to electronic music, not many speakers can hold everything together in a balanced way. This is why, among other genres, I always test any loudspeaker with demanding electronic music—it quickly reveals the product’s strengths. Not surprisingly, but surprisingly given their price tag, the Jazzon V2 speakers immediately engage the listener with a unique momentum that is undoubtedly tied to Cube’s full-range driver and speaker design DNA.
This allows the Cube Audio speakers to respond precisely to rapid changes in kaleidoscopic, but carefully organized electronic score, following the dynamic shifts of percussion without losing coherence. Jazzons V2 convey lightning-fast sharp attacks and endless reflections of artificially generated delays and reverbs remarkably well and with refined ease and fluidity.
Borderland calls for an extraordinary precision that synchronizes seamlessly with the amplifier, allowing the air to move unconditionally while preserving dynamism and the smallest dynamic nuances that make this record so uniquely different. Cube Audio’s smallest loudspeakers don’t disappoint at all.
Patricia Barber – Companion
Companion by Patricia Barber brings quite a different theme and something that, by default, is expected to be handled properly by full-range speakers.
However, in reality, the sonic path can take many different directions and as I have encountered quite a few times, there is no guarantee that the sound will be properly propagated and reproduced, despite the expected coherence of full-range driver design.
The Jazzon V2s are proof of the concept done right, and from the first to the last track of Companion, they remain firmly on point, presenting all the tracks accurately and consistently, delivering the music with all the benefits of a full-range driver, showcasing why Cube Audio stands out from other similarly conceived designs.
Regardless of the musical material, Cube Audio’s smallest full-range floorstanders offer a different musical experience: a deeply etched, mesmerizing, immersive dive into the small universe of Companion, challenging even far pricer speakers in delivering a seamless and accurate presentation of Barber’s unmistakable compositions.
Youn Sun Nah – Same Girl
Music is expected to be intimately presented in its fullest form of interactivity when we reflect on the heritage of the full-range driver audio industry over decades if not hundreds of years.
However, this is not exactly the case for many reasons. The industry has also shifted towards exploring different concepts, including multi-driver designs, some of which can be hit or miss, with, of course, notable exceptions when the work is done properly.
With Same Girl, Cube Audio once again proves why the Jazzon V2 is in a league of its own, seamlessly fusing the past and present of full-range concepts to deliver a laser-sharp accuracy, sonic precision, and tonal balance, and reflect reality in a way that few speakers can.
“La Chanson D’Hélène” clearly demonstrates this, without requiring the listener to overthink concepts, theories, or expectations of aural completeness.
Cube Audio’s smallest floorstander portrays “La Chanson D’Hélène” in its fullest form, in situ, without presenting the music as a mere sonic display, as some contemporary dynamic speakers tend to do.
Quite the opposite, the energy of Youn Sun Nah hits you right at the epicenter, with no need to engage additional logical sensors or overthink it.
With the Jazzon V2, the musical magic happens naturally and instantly.
The O-Zone Percussion Bamba (La)
The O-Zone Percussion’s hauntingly and beautifully re-composed cover of Pat Metheny Band’s iconic track “Minuano” presents a formidable challenge for any speaker.
“Minuano” can too quickly transform into an uncontrollable sonic adventure, with fading tones, decays, and blurred layers if the speakers are not up to the task.
With a refreshing lightness, the Jazzon V2 speaker effortlessly handles this complex sonic density and ever-evolving narrative, delivering the cover with full momentum and without compromise.
Cube Audio’s smallest full-range speakers offer a refined musical impact, evoking a sense of vastness and creating a sonic sphere large enough to unfold the music’s complexity and allow it to fully develop.
This is not a feature that many speakers, regardless of price or type, can match. However, the Jazzon V2 excels in its striking ability to deliver music with a unique sense of omnipresence, ensuring that no information is lost in translation but is instead clearly presented to the listener, inducing an emotional experience that lingers long after the music stops.
The Conclusion
What makes Cube Audio speakers so unique?
There is something inherently special about a full-range driver that immediately establishes a unique sense of immediacy and presents the music holistically and harmonically, just as it was meant to be heard.
They remind me of my past positive encounters with Lowther driver-based speakers but with Cube Audio’s technology taken to a new level.
Cube Audio speakers excel in expanding evenly into the listening space, radiating sound across both the horizontal and vertical planes without distorting the image focus or compromising dynamic impact. They operate in close proximity to where the music’s “gravity” is, making the listening experience feel more interconnected and natural.
With the Jazzon V2, the music emanates from the submarine depths when positioned correctly within the room, the reproduced music makes sense, has a tactile presence, and flows effortlessly.
Unlike many similarly sized speakers, there are no gaps in the frequency spectrum, no sacrifice of harmony or counterpoint. Jazzon V2 speakers are perfectly balanced, delivering a coherent and immersive listening experience.
The concept of “near proximity” in Cube Audio’s design closely mirrors how music subsists—regardless of the genre and there is no deviation from the golden trinity of timbre, tone, and color.
Moreover, Cube Audio speakers preserve the true size of performers and instruments and can project a three-dimensional reflection of reality without distorting the overall scale of the sonic presentation. This is a unique and instantly recognizable quality.
Across the entire frequency range, the Jazzon V2 raises no particular frequency bumps, often associated with multi-driver speakers and their complex crossovers.
It’s not easy to design a dynamic speaker where all the drivers act as one harmonic unit, seamlessly integrating without standing out. However, it’s not easy to design a balanced full-range speaker either, by simply placing a single driver into a box; it requires careful engineering to “make it sing.”
That’s where Cube Audio excels. Their design focuses on the performance of a single driver, eliminating the need for complex crossovers, and exploring convoluted realms of psychoacoustics, and multi-driver systems. The result is a speaker that delivers an unprecedented, musically rich, and engaging performance with a higher-order sense of interactivity.
It’s logical that a well-executed full-range, single-driver speaker enthralls the listener in an entirely different emotional experience, going far beyond simply pointing the sound in the space and blasting it at the listener as some dynamic speakers do.
The Jazzon V2 reveals the music in full disclosure, with a sense of effortless fineness. It uncovers layer after layer of musical complexity without imposing its character or signature. Cube Audio’s smallest floor standers reveal the music for what it is, with a higher-than-usual level of engagement, achieving a harmonious balance between sound, space, and emotional bonding with the presented music material.
Any loudspeaker, or high-end audio product, is subject to voicing, to deliver proper equilibrium and sonic balance. A touch of character can be meaningful, but it should not overwhelm the music. Cube Audio expertly balances tonal accuracy and dynamic expression without breaking the elusive quality of sound.
At times fiery and ecstatic, at others soft and subdued, the Jazzon V2 reveals crescendos and quiet passages with equal grace.
When you strip away everything unnecessary, only the pure essence of the music remains. This minimalist, puristic approach is the key to the Jazzon V2’s unique projection of music and energy into the listening room.
With the Jazzon V2, the sound travels directly from the drivers, undistracted by the surroundings, delivering emotionally and harmonically intense moments with a lifelike impact. It reflects a real-world aural scenario in the most natural way possible.
I’ve evaluated Cube Audio speakers in various environments to see if their hex and enchantment remain consistent across different spaces—and the results have always been outstanding. Their unproblematic design allows them to adapt easily to typical living conditions, providing instant, optimal sound reproduction without a hassle. This is another of the positive attributes that make them such an interesting offering.
The Jazzon V2 truly captures the spirit of the Cube Audio brand, delivering both micro and macro sonic details in a renowned, magnetically enchanting way, where individual components of the sound fade into the background, and the music comes together as a unified whole, resonating with the listener.
The Cube Audio Jazzon V2 speakers have unique versatility and a chameleon-like ability to adapt to various music repertoires, handling even the most complex, layered contrasts with ease.
Cube Audio has employed some uniquely engineered approaches to balance design and manufacturing costs, considering both the realities of niche market demand and, made in Europe, production, and to create something distinctly different, living up to the brand’s reputation.
There’s something fundamentally present in the music when it comes through these speakers, making them an instant head-turner, with their vibrant momentum and musical depth.
I can’t think of a better compliment than to grant Cube Audio’s Jazzon V2 speakers the Mono and Stereo 2024 Highly Recommended Product Award. ❖
