I just love these insights from DeVore Fidelity O/Reference speakers. So much is hidden to the eye. There are many of the beautiful and functional parts that aren’t visible on the finished product. Here are the bronze bottom panels before and after machining from the rough sand-castings. These heavy plates mount to the bottoms of the O/Ref cabinets and serve several purposes. They fit within the stands to locate and stabilize the speakers, their weight also helps to stabilize the system, they act to isolate the crossover from vibration, and they act as a ground point for each cabinet.
