Ferras launched its first LP in May 1954, with Brahms Concerto, Karl Schuricht, and Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. That year, thanks to the French violin maker Etienne Vatelot, Ferras acquired the 1721 “Le Président” Stradivarius, with which he made this revival of French Sonatas in 1960.
