Franco Serblin Studio In Finland

The Franco Serblin Studio Ktema speakers showcased at the new Sound Factor showroom in Finland. In the showroom, bass resonances are managed using precisely calibrated Helmholtz resonators, while sidewall reflections are controlled with cylindrical slat diffusers. The front wall is constructed from plywood but does not incorporate dedicated acoustic treatment elements.

For the ceiling, sound-diffusing shapes were created by bending birch veneer. The central ceiling section features a perforated resonator with a 7 cm air gap, complemented by a 4 mm groove pattern to mitigate direct sound reflections.

The back wall utilizes Swiss Topakustik panels, identical to those installed in the Helsinki Music Centre’s corridors and the Sibelius Academy’s orchestral practice rooms.
Electrical wiring for the equipment is routed through a dedicated circuit, minimizing interference from lights, refrigerators, or other household appliances.
