German Physiks PQS-302 omnidirectional loudspeakers with electronics from ACCUSTIC ARTS and European Audio Team turntable.
The PQS-302 employs two German Physiks omnidirectional DDD drivers. These cover the frequency range from 170Hz to 24kHz. Their exceptionally wide frequency range eliminates the discontinuity caused by the mid-range crossover point that conventional loudspeaker designs must have. Human hearing is most sensitive in the mid-range and keeping this region pristine provides a noticeable improvement in transparency.
The bass is handled by two 8-inch woofers, each housed in its own reflex cabinet. These take the response down to 29Hz. This provides a well extended and fast bass response that matches very nicely with the speed of the DDD drivers.
Altogether this is another very musical and enjoyable system.
