A complete German Physiks system at a demonstration event organized by their Chinese distributor NC Audio in Shenzen: German Physiks PQS-402 omnidirectional loudspeakers, German Physiks Emperor DSP -X digital crossover, German Physiks Emperor mono power amplifiers, and ACCUSTIC ARTS Tube Phono II preamplifier.
“The PQS-402 loudspeaker uses two German Physiks DDD drivers. Their exceptionally wide frequency range – 215Hz to 24kHz – eliminates the mid-band crossover point found in conventional loudspeakers, providing exceptional coherence. 2 x 10-inch woofers and 4 x 8-inch passive radiators take the response down to 24Hz. Their maximum output level is 118dB for life-like dynamics. The Emperor mono power amplifiers provide more than enough power to fully realise the potential of these loudspeakers, with 550W RMS into 8 ohms, 1,100W RMS into 4 ohms and 1,800W RMS into 2 ohms. We don’t know of any loudspeaker that these amplifiers cannot drive.”
