The A-3 XL monitor 2 way bass reflex is a bookshelf loudspeaker featuring a 6” treated carbon fiber and melted paper mid-woofer complementing a 1” elliptical silk dome tweeter.
The A3-XL features two thick side wall aluminium panels recessed into the cabinet. They are anchored with threaded steel bars properly tuned to let the panels work as “Virtual Passive Drivers” enabling a greater bass extension. The panels are available brushed black or silver aluminum finish having the new GN texture “Luis Vitton” style elegant and exclusive finish.
The 6” recessed mid-woofer is made by SEAS under strict Gold Note specifications; it is a special treated carbon fiber with melted paper unit providing an exceptionally low, powerful frequency response yet retaining fast transient response, for enabling a very natural music reproduction.
As a result of the custom design the 1” elliptical silk dome tweeter features an aluminium extra rigid flange that reproduces clean and smooth high frequencies even at high volume level pressure.
The A-3 XL front double bass reflex design allows the speaker to play placed on stand or even on a shelf close to the rear wall. The custom aluminium reflex pipes are designed to minimize turbulence and unwanted sound interactions enabling to play very natural though powerful and detailed.
