Many seems to have missed the news about the Goldmund flagship preamplifier. Here is the offical blurb and technical info: “Celebrated as the world’s best analog preamplifier, the Mimesis 22H has been upgraded with the latest Telos NextGen amplification technology. The new Mimesis 22H NextGen tis the ideal companion to the Telos 1000 and 2500 NextGen mono amplifiers that Goldmund has just released.”
It comes with a bigger chassis (14 cm high against 11 for the previous version) for both the preamplifier and the power supply. The additional metal weight and ventilation allows greatly improved circuit temperature stability, which is especially important for this high-temperature unit when used in hot tropical areas. The Swiss precision of its construction and the quality of the materials Goldmund uses reinforce the solid yet refined look that characterizes our products, but they also participate to the Mechanical Grounding of the unit, preventing spurious vibrations that affect the signal.
The Mimesis 22H NextGen’s power supply comes with the connection to power a second unit (for example a new version of the phono stage PH3.8 or a DAC) providing the cleanest power and a better noise rejection for all connected equipment.
It has capacity of preventing distortions at any level like no other preamplifier. Its astonishing signal accuracy is explained by the multiplication of the paralleling of single class A single-ended stages. Its AC curator technology ensures exceptionally smooth, clean power is delivered to the circuit boards through several successive stages of regulation.
Its digital volume control provides additional precision in the gain selection. With 7 inputs and 2 analog tape loops, the Mimesis 22H NextGen allows many system configuration options, including the connection to home automation controls thanks to its RS232 port.
