The in-akustik Reference Micro AIR Series was developed from a simple premise: cables should preserve the original audio signal rather than influence it.
Every cable introduces unavoidable electrical effects, including capacitance, which can affect signal transmission and interact with connected components. Instead of compensating for these effects through voicing, in-akustik focuses on reducing them through cable architecture and material selection.
NF-404 Micro AIR
Designed for low-level analogue audio signals between source components and amplifiers, the NF-404 Micro AIR combines Micro AIR Technology with a newly developed Guided Copper conductor architecture.
Rather than allowing individual strands to contact each other randomly, the Guided Copper design positions each OFC copper conductor in a precisely defined geometry using PE spacers. This controlled structure reduces internal interactions and conductor noise while maintaining a stable signal path.
A fully symmetrical design and dual shielding provide additional protection against electromagnetic interference from modern electrical environments.
The NF-404 Micro AIR is available with RCA and XLR connectors in lengths from 0.75, 1.0, 1.5 or 2.0 metres, with prices starting at €625 (RRP).
AC-404 Micro AIR
The AC-404 Micro AIR applies the same development philosophy to power delivery within high-end audio systems.
Its newly developed 6-fold Multicore architecture is designed to provide a particularly low-impedance current path across a broad frequency range while minimising unwanted interactions between connected components. Combined with the Micro AIR dielectric and dual shielding, the design aims to reduce capacitive losses and minimise the influence of high-frequency interference on neighbouring signal cables.
The cable is available in SCHUKO-C19 or C15 and NEMA-C19 or C15 versions in lengths from 1.0, 1.5 to 2.0 metres, with prices starting at €749 (RRP).
Handmade in Germany
Every cable in the Reference Micro AIR Series is developed and manufactured in in-akustik’s own cable manufactory in Germany. Each product is individually assembled, electrically tested and mechanically inspected before leaving the factory.
