dCS writes: “When developing Varèse we set out to create an intuitive and rewarding user experience. Getting listeners to music faster, and helping them remain immersed in their music, were our main objectives. We were also keen to provide tactile touchpoints, rich graphic displays and easy-to-navigate menus to support browsing and discovery.
These goals were realised with the creation of a new user experience that incorporates the Varèse User Interface, Mosaic ACTUS app and Varèse Remote Control.
The User Interface includes a full-colour touch screen which allows listeners to view more information – including track data, play queues and album art – at a glance. Display modes and information can be tailored to suit listener preferences.
The User Interface connects with the Varèse Remote Control via Bluetooth LE – meaning it can be placed anywhere in a listener’s space, with no line of sight required. It also carries out important functions within the system, acting as a UPnP renderer and endpoint for select streaming services.
