The Swiss pianist and harpsichordist Isabelle Nef was the first piano teacher at the Geneva Conservatory, in addition to being a pedagogue, she was a concert pianist. As an educator, she devoted more time to teaching at the Conservatory, but at the beginning of her career she made some commercial recordings for the L’Oiseau-Lyre label by personal invitation from the company’s founder and friend, Louise Dyer. – Saulo Zucchello
