We kept its perfect electrical schematics that so many people love, with its DHT triodes and Engine11-P electronics it is still our killer DAC.
In the third generation, we cleaned up the act, ironed some wrinkles, and got rid of some quirks and annoying things, and it is now perfection.
Visually it is almost identical to the Poseidon, the Neptune, and the Horizon, as we execute the plan of visual uniformization across the entire family.
Two major changes are:
- No more single-ended-only version
- There is no longer a version without the remote / volume/ display. It is a one-has-it-all version only: balanced and fully loaded.
Ah, and of course, there is no more gold plating. There is only one color version: Duracell (black body + copper top).”
