Linn Factory Visit

The Linn factory tour and report, featuring over 60 photos. Linn is a brand that is particularly very close to my (Mark) heart. About a year ago, I was fortunate to visit the Linn factory just outside Glasgow. Below and over a forthcoming post or two, I would like to share these images of the amazing place where these wonderful products are dreamt, designed, conceived, and built. I tend to journal these types of events as I experience them, and below are my thoughts of the experience at the time. Suffice it to say, the words still hold true.

The thing that gets you the thing.

Like the best concerts that leave an indelible mark for some time upon leaving the venue, I find myself already dwelling upon the incredible hospitality, creativity and inspiration that everyone at Linn HQ afforded me this week.

I’ve learned a lot, shared a lot, and made some new friends over these few days. I’ve been awestruck at how many same-family members work there – fathers and sons, mothers and daughters. Despite their status as a global icon, Linn operates with remarkable humility. The people truly come first, and the pride in their work is palpable.

While I adore and idolize the musicians and artists, those who put pen to paper, strike or chord or take to the stage in front of thousands of strangers, I equally adore the talented designers, the engineers, the educators, the troubleshooters, the whole collective who make wonderful machines on which we get to listen to the music we love with clarity, precision and authenticity, but most of all, emotion. It’s the thing that gets you the thing.

Linn is most definitely the thing.
