The new and upcoming LINNENBERG ES30 features a fully symmetrical architecture, employing two tightly coupled amplifiers—one driving the speaker+ terminal and the other driving the speaker– terminal. A third amplifier supplies a virtual ground. Although this design triples the cost, it relieves the circuit ground from carrying speaker return currents, resulting in an exceptionally clean ground potential. LINNENBERG names this architecture SYMTONE.
