Virgil Abloh believed music was more than sound – it was a language of culture. In 2020, he approached McIntosh with a vision to merge his world with ours. His love for sound shaped the way he listened, created, and lived – a passion reflected in his own personal studio
Though the project remained a concept then, today we honor that vision.
In collaboration with Virgil Abloh Archives, McIntosh is bringing Virgil’s vision of McIntosh to life – presenting this one-of-a-kind piece at Virgil Abloh: The Codes exhibition in Paris, running September 30, 2025 – October 9, 2025, at Le Grand Palais.
Alongside this prototype, McIntosh also power Virgil’s reconstructed Pont Neuf studio audio setup, and the sonic experiences woven throughout the exhibition.
Sound is never background. It is culture.
