These ultra-fine details require new micro-tooling and machining. Tool 74, as shown in the photos, is a 3-flute micro-carbide end mill used for the finishing pass. At just 0.020″ (0.5 mm) in diameter, the cutting edges are nearly imperceptible to the human eye.
The curves of the chassis exemplify the precision of 5-axis machining in action. These finishes come straight from the CNC machine and are smooth to the touch—ready for anodizing.
The Sentinel will be the first product to feature MSB Technology’s refreshed logo and branding—yet another area where refined detail and precision machining are being implemented.
