AXIHORN is designed for use in 2-way active loudspeaker system NIDA. The module cover 5 music octaves or a bit more. Frequency response is very uniform in the range of 700 Hz – 20 kHz, THD is extremely low (0,05-0,1%@75dBC) in all operating zone.
Wooden horn made of high density exotic wood, the surface is coated with Danish Oil. Weight of the module – 18,5 kg. In order to have a desired attenuation at the highest frequencies and to reduce distortions, special acoustical absorber is used in the throat of the horn.
In HF module AXIHORN used TAD TD-2002 Alnico driver with pure Beryllium diaphragm. To reduce the distortions, some modifications to the acoustic channel of the driver is made.
