OMA: “On his birthday today we celebrate the life of Jerry Madrigale, our dear friend without whom we could never have started OMA. Jerry not only was the kindest, most generous, compassionate man, but also an extremely talented craftsman and woodworker. He could build anything. Having made prototypes for Knoll International, Jerry later on started building the very first loudspeakers for OMA.
Together we kicked it off with the AC1 (first two photos), an impossible to build speaker, consisting of all compound angles out of solid hardwood. A feat to figure out how to engineer it and then to build it. But Jerry just did it, he was a true artisan.
Jerry passed away last month. He is dearly missed by us all.
